Brooding Skies over McQueen's Valley

Ah Friday... has it been a week since we last met? It seems so much longer ago...

Our usual end of the week treat at the Blue duck Cafe saw me and Mrs H marvel at the ever changing Banks Peninsula sky, thanks to a huge Nor'West arch during the Golden Hour. So, after an amazing dinner (thanks Glen!) I stopped just down the road to take this shot from Millers Road.

Whilst it looks like it's going to chuck it down, these types of skies are typical of the high Nor'West cloud here in Canterbury. When this shot was taken after 7.30 it was still 16C.

Here's hoping the nice weather stays with us over the next couple of days; have a good weekend everyone
