Wise old owl

A day of two halves, chopping our break into pre-iPod and post-iPod. How to make a teenager really miserable: steal her iPod.

Daughter and I were shopping (mostly window-shopping) around Regent Street and Oxford Street in London today and sometime between 2:30 and 3:00 someone picked her pocket, netting themselves an iPod. She was completely distraught and spent the rest of our break being miserable.

Today we had to deal with the immediate things - like reporting it stolen, and returning to places where she knew she'd had it. It was only on reflection later that we were able to pin-point the disappearance specifically as she'd been using the Notes facility to check a shopping list when we were in Boots getting essential items.

The Owl is in Liberty - on a balcony, and was photographed during the happy part of the day. I love looking round Liberty. They have an Oscar Wilde quote painted on one of their walls: "Liberty is the chosen resort of the artistic shopper". Well said.
