Sweet Chestnuts - Autumn

A visit to Kew Gardens today. Many, many photographs. But this one says "autumn" to me, and we climbed up an 18m high tree walk to get the pic in the little autumn sunshine which we saw today.

Dear daughter was thoroughly miserable all day today after the events of yesterday. It was affecting all of us. There's a point where you can't just say "here's another one", because sometimes life has to teach you a few lessons about being streetwise. We'd tried to select something for everyone from our plans for the holiday, and this day was Dad's/OH's choice, so it was rotten that it was being spoiled by the moaning. As you can't possibly be "in the moment" with your family when there's some gossip you're missing on Snapchat or Instagram.

We headed to the theatre this evening to see the musical "Wicked". Enjoyable, but a late night after all the wandering about in the gardens. Can it be that we are tired of London?
