T-REX -DAY #4

T-Rex Planet Tour cancer Awareness Project

Today Ann said, ‘Molly I’m going to spend the morning sorting out the sun terrace. I need to clean the sun terrace furniture and cover it up for winter and I need to prepare the pots for bulb planting. You & T-Rex can watch me.’
Ann loves her sun terrace but she hates having to maintain it. She wishes her pots would just look amazing by magic! Fortunately it started to pour with rain 5 mins after she started work so Ann had to abandon that job!!!

Ann’s Dad was a brilliant gardener. If he were alive today he would have really enjoyed looking after our sun terrace for us.

Ann’s father was diagnosed with lung cancer and died less than a month later – 2nd October 2002 – aged 71.

And before anyone starts commenting – NO - he never, ever smoked!!

Statistics are all very well and good but statistics are just that – statistics! Every single day we hear about new ways to statistically lower one’s chances of getting cancer.

Well, both Ann’s parent’s had CANCER. (See yesterday's BLIP to read about Ann's mother.) They didn’t smoke, they didn’t drink, they exercised, they ate healthily and they weren’t overweight.

Accordingly to all the latest research they did everything right............................ And yet they still died!!!!

It just goes to show that CANCER can strike any one, at any time.

T-REX, the little pink dinosaur, is travelling the globe to promote cancer awareness. Please click onto the links below to understand more about this very worthwhile project.
