T-REX Day #3

T-Rex Planet Tour Cancer Awareness Project

Ok; so yesterday we said we would share some of our experiences of CANCER with BLIPLAND

This is the very last photograph that was taken of Ann’s mother. It was taken on ‘Mother’s Day 1998’.

Ann’s mother died – 9th June 1998 – aged 65 years old.

Ann’s mother had bowel cancer.

She was diagnosed and died within seven months.

Apparently, bowel cancer is one of the cancers that can be successfully treated if caught early enough.

And from what we’ve heard – Scotland is miles ahead of England in preventive treatment.

Ann has a lot of friends in Scotland.

In Scotland if you are 50+ the NHS requests that you send a sample of your poo off to be analysed.

OK, so I’m guessing this might be a bit embarrassing though I'm a gorgeous little collie and I have no problem pooing!!! and I don’t think Ann actually asked her friends how much poo they had to send in their sample....................... but how good is this?!! - that Scotland is actually being proactive??!!

So far this isn’t happening in England.

If it had been policy in England 15 years ago, perhaps Ann’s mother may not have died???

T-REX, the little pink dinosaur, is travelling the globe to promote cancer awareness. Please click onto the links below to understand more about this very worthwhile project.
