Presenting "missy" the wonder-pup!

For about three second this poodle puppy stood still for a portrait in the street. The granddaughter and her 4 year old son walked passed with missy the second. The old missy #1 apparently died.
The wonderful grandmother, Catherine, is now about 99 years old and remarkably active still. She walks her replacement puppy in her yard. But still drives herself to play bridge with other antique friends. I caught sight of her the other day collecting her empty trash bins to take back inside.
She was very attached to missy #1 and must have felt the loss keenly. The think about #2, the granddaughter reports, is that the puppy spring right up to jump into her face. It seems Catherine knows what she's doing because she whacks a cardboard stick against her thigh and the little jumper settles down.
Just because a person gets really old does not mean they should stop having pets. This creature will go to one of the grandchildren... or great grandchildren.
I have yet to figure out who will get Gracie Twinkle-toes. cats live to 20 years or can, so I have been told.
Any thoughts?
