Life is a Challenge!

PINK DAY 21 - GRACE

When you visit one of those very large, impersonal garden centres that seem to have sprung up all over the country - you know the ones I mean - where there are rows and rows of perfect plants, posh garden furniture, huge gas barbeques and often a large cafe - do you sometimes long for a garden centre where the plants are less than perfect, where the hose is left in a heap and where there are puddles to jump over to get to the door?

Well I found such a place today - or rather I was "taken" there by my friend Emma. Strangely enough, I had been looking at a Farm Shop on the internet yesterday, so when Emma suggested we go there for lunch, it seemed like a good opportunity to try it out before going there with Mr. HCB. Next door was a Garden Shop owned and run by Brenda, who definitely "knew her onions"! Emma and I had a wander round and found lots of quirky little gifts and all sorts of other interesting things poked away in dark corners - just as a garden shop should be!

Just as we came out of the Garden Shop we met Grace and her Mum and Grandma. Earlier it had been raining very hard, and there were huge puddles on the path leading to the shop, so I had a lovely conversation with Grace about not going in puddles when you weren't wearing wellies and she agreed it was not a good idea because if you did, your feet would get wet!

As she was wearing pink, I couldn't resist asking if I could blip her and after chatting with Mum the photograph was soon taken.

So - here is Grace - with her lovely hat and beautiful smile - and of course, wearing a PINK cardigan and with PINK ears on her hat, both of which fit in well with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month challenge.

It's about learning to dance in the rain.
