Nothing Gold Can Stay

Been a while since I've quoted the wonderful Mr Frost but the dying sunflowers in the garden marking the end of Summer and Autumn even made me remember his words:

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Not much else to say really.
