Faithful Companion

One thing struck me after taking this photo - it seems that most of my 'Street' photography takes place in the car park of supermarkets.

As I was waiting for Mrs H to whizz round New World Halswell, a big guy dressed in flouro (not an uncommon sight here in Christchurch) pulled up in his Landcruiser. After he left for the supermarket, his faithful friend here jumped into the back seat and assumed his longing position.

There's a lot to be said for the loyalty of dogs - they bring the best out of people with their unconditional love. It was very cute to see the owner praising his companion from afar as he walked towards the car. Man's best friend? You betcha.

Talking of dog enthusiasts, today's blip is dedicated to my sister, who's birthday it is today. Happy Birthday sis. May your canine companions give you all the unconditional love you deserve.
