Hong Kong - Macau

Sorry for the overdue update but I've had a few very hectic weeks and unfortunately one of them was a very tough week. Getting slightly lost in the Korean lifestyle and dealing with culture shock under a situation I never thought I would find myself in.
So it was time for a quick escape to Hong Kong, which was perfect. It cured some of my homesickness having a lot of British influence there and I never realised how much small things such as train announcements "Please mind the gap" made me feel very at home.
Hong Kong is an amazing place, so much is happening and it is very "busy" it is the most metropolitan place I have ever been to.
It is very different to Korea, there were many people from all over the world and there were many things to see.
The nightlife is very exciting with all the city lights and the people, it makes you feel like anything is possible.
Macau was also completely different, it was very Portuguese. With the weather being at 29 degrees and the Portuguese architecture I did feel as if I was somewhere in Europe on holiday. However the other island Taipai is very "Las Vegas", the hotels and casinos are very cheesy/glamorous! It was incredible in some respects but definitely not for me...
I am so glad I went and traveled to other Asian countries although they have had a very strong influence on them it truly was an East meets West vibe.
It was great to travel with my friend Aline who really is my cup of tea, we got on so well and had so much fun!
I already miss Hong Kong and cannot wait to go back, I will definitely going back ASAP!!
