Olympic Legacy

Grayson Perry, the potter, gave a terrific series of Reith Lectures recently where he analysed the art market and tried to define What Is Art?

So if we apply his principles to this picture...
1. Was it done by an artist? - Well, I am a Blipper so I think you will agree that makes me an artist.
2. Was it executed in a trendy, artistic area?-  It was taken in Hackney Wick, an area teaming with up and coming arty types.
3. Is it an abstraction of real life? - I reckon so because it was taken just outside the Olympic Park.
4. Was it assembled by the artist? - Yes - I put the objects on the plinth myself and placed each item in its correct, artistically balanced position.

So it seems to me that this is an irrefutable piece of genuine art.

But here's the thing: After taking the picture I dismantled the items and put them back where I had found them, so the piece no longer exists, apart from the components being scattered in different locations. Which means that this picture is the only remnant of the installation. Therefore it must be worth £000's. So as I have the copyright I forbid you to take prints of this Blip, or you will be hearing from my lawyer.

All I can say in conclusion is...look out for next years Turner Prize shortlist.
