Slinky Dog

She did it!!! Miss E got exactly £10 this morning and was very excited this afternoon when we headed off to Tescos.
I should say that Miss L has also been saving up her money and had the grand total of £7. She wanted a Mr Tumble doll that was £8. Miss E again showed how lovely and kind she is by immediately saying that she had £1 more than she needed and that Miss L could have the extra pound.
I know I'm gushing on a bit about Miss E at the moment but she really is turning into such a lovely little person. I'm so proud of her!
When we got to Tescos Miss E practically pogo-sticked her way to the toy aisle, squealing with excitement, Miss L running along behind!
Thank goodness Slinky Dog was still there. I'd had visions of having to explain to Miss E that the toy she'd saved up for weeks for wasn't in stock!
The Mr Tumble doll that Miss L wanted was tiny and seemed ludicrously overpriced to me so I tried to steer her towards something else. Half an hour of dithering later and she'd chosen Mr Tumble snap cards and a Disney colouring book.
They both paid the lady and skipped out of the shop clutching their treasures. I bet they value them more than most of the things they've got - they've earned them!
The rest of the afternoon was spent causing chaos and destruction in the kitchen. We bought salt and gluten free flour in Tescos and made salt dough Christmas decorations.
Oh my God, the stuff is like concrete and it's everywhere. No matter how much more flour we added to the dough and the kitchen counter it remained stubbornly gloopy and ever expanding!
But we have dozens of stars, Christmas trees, hearts, gingerbread men and circles. Currently baking in the oven and ready to be painted tomorrow.
Roast chicken, mash and gravy for dinner, Strictly on the TV. All's well with the world!
