Starting remembrance

Popped down to Toward Primary to do an assembly on remembrance this morning. First time there this academic year, and good to see new faces and old. Very lively discussion, all sorts of questions and views and understandings. I love to listen to what they bring to it, much more so than trying to push my point of view on to them. Loved the question, "Were we the goodies in the war?" Followed by some discussion on what is going on in Syria at the moment and nuclear weapons. And outside, the view from the school car park was rather spectacular as ever.
