Pump House window

Difficult to explain why I like this picture. It is a "photographer's picture" - the sort you often see in club photography and which mystifies many non photographers. However, I like the style of the window and the slightly worn condition of the paintwork. I even like the sloping drain pipe leading down to the bottom corner of the frame.

The building, an old pumphouse used to pump water to the Watford area, was built in 1885. It is now used as a theatre and arts centre.

I have now posted a blip from the 3rd day of our photographic trip to Perthshire. You can see it here.
