Koerner Hall, The Royal Conservatory of Music

Koerner Hall, The Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto. I was there for Nicole Lizée, Dan Deacon, and Bryce Dessner performed by the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony featuring new or very recent works by the aforementioned gentlemen and the Toronto debut of Lizée's 2012: Triple Concerto for Power Trio and Orchestra (Fantasia on Themes by Rush) which first was performed by the KWS last year in KW. All were quite wonderful and it was fascinating how Rush was interpreted and blended into orchestral movements. Well done! This was my first visit to this beautiful hall; and this is the view from my seat at Q 1 as the seats fill and the orchestra gathers.

It - and last night's silent movie with organ accompaniment (see blip) - were a much-needed break. It's been a very busy few weeks at work and in researching for my master's paper due at year's end.
