pit stop...

often I meet people who talk about saving time...they will take all the short cuts to save as much time as they can. when they have to have food, they will go to the nearest food joint or to a place that will take the least amount of time. on the road, they will take all the inner roads and short cuts to save a couple of minutes...while watching a movie, they will skip the songs and jump right to the story...anything that they can, they will do to save a few extra minutes.

eventually, they end up with so much of 'saved' time that they dont know what to do with it. it is a paradoxical situation. you save time to that you have enough to waste later.

but sometimes, it is not just about marking a 'task' complete...it is the sheer joy of doing it that brings pleasure to us. sometimes it is worth taking the long route and feel the wind in the hair...sometimes it is about waiting for long for the dinner to arrive while to chat your time away, or just observe what is everyone else doing in the restaurant

...sometimes, it is like this shot, lying lazily on the bed, watching the morning light enter your room through the window, without worrying about how your day is going to be.

...as lightening McQueen said in the movie, Cars - once in a while, it is good to slow down.

I have a feeling that I have talked about this on blip earlier as well...can't remember when...Deja vu!
