Chance Encounter

The Dunkeld stretch of the River Tay has marvellous walks on both banks and there are always people out enjoying this wonderful woodland environment. Apart from visitors, local people regularly walk their dogs here. Today's blip captures one of these lovely interactive moments when a friendly dog rushes up to strangers to make their acquaintance. The little terrier has got ahead of the dog walker who's trying to catch up in case it's being a nuisance.

However, the three walkers seated on the beautiful curved wooden bench (dedicated to the famous Perthshire fiddler Neil Gow, mentioned yesterday), greeted the little terrier with glee. These everyday moments of contact are the stuff of life. For the Dundee Courier story behind this beautiful seat installed this year click here.
