At Scarborough: Art Party Alex....x

Artist, Alex Dodgson bravely merges into his own canvas. Children paint him into his piece of art. Children in art being one of the focus's of debate at the 'Art Party Conference 2013' held at the Spa Conference Centre today.

This mini Glastonbury style event, the brainchild of artist, Bob and Roberta Smith is a movement in opposition to government arts budget cuts. Cleverly devised with a wealth of arts, poetry, performance, costume, and more. It shows art for what art is, expressionism, freedom of speech, open thinkers, free thinkers, creative minds. The same creative minds that ironically created the beautiful Spa building. The same creative minds that contribute to Glastonbury, the biggest performing arts festival which sells out in minutes.

This IS a country that is founded on art history, great thinkers, philosophers, beautiful poetry, amazing writers and people who put in all the colours of our understanding. By cutting funding to the arts, the government is denying our children their contribution to their cultural heritage. The diversity of the Arts Party Conference and Alex Dodgson illustrate this perfectly....x
