Smoke on the Water.

Pentax K1000, Ilford HP5+, ISO 400

Woke up late today to rain rain rain. M sensibly decided to give the boat a miss and do some odd jobs, so I made a stack of pancakes for us which we ate with fruit, jam and yogurt, with plenty of coffee. M was obviously feeling more awake than A and I; he got on with work while we lounged on the sofa! After seconds of pancakes, we decided to walk into town to Union Square for some indoor shopping. It was absolutely rammed - we obviously weren't alone in our wet-Saturday planning! We had a good scout round Zara and A got a lovely jumper, then we had a look at wedding rings in Rox (the shape of A's engagement ring will require quite a specific design of wedding band) before I had a coffee in Markies to recuperate and A bought some photo frames from TK Maxx. M had finished working so A and I headed home and packed up some stuff to take to A's for a night in the country.

When we arrived at A's house, F had just woken up from his nap, so A's Mum (who had been babysitting since Friday), M and I all watched a bit of TV and made lego oil rigs while A got herself back into Mummy-routine. We took A's Mum back into Banchory to catch a bus, and picked up an Indian takeaway from town, too - delish. Even F ate a bit of curry, but mostly filled up on poppadums and naan bread. After tea we all settled on the sofa to watch Road to Perdition, which was quite a lot better than I was expecting! We'd eaten far too much curry so bed beckoned after the film, and M and I flopped onto the guest bed (quietly so we didn't wake up F) and fell asleep straight away. It feels like we've done loads with our weekend already and we still have Sunday to go!
