Bught Park, Inverness this evening.

Was cycling over to the Aquadome for a swim, when I noticed this Horse Chestnut tree. They normally loose their leaves early on in Autumn, probably one of the first to do so. That was the case for this tree, except for the leaves around an adjacent streetlight. Other tree varieties along the same route, didn't show the same trait, at least, not to this extent.

Well, it was of interest to me...

Flood alleviation work folk were doing a rapid clean up of Bank Street in Inverness tonight. Looks like it may well re-open on the projected day - something I'd reckoned very unlikely, earlier in the week. The (former) pavement area by the river looks as if it will remain fenced off for a while yet.

Thoroughly worn out by the time I made it home. Dire forecast tomorrow, so it'll be the car for the first time this week.
