Camera Club

After tournaments the chessmen
often wind up in the pub,
to relax and chat, discuss their game,
and share a little grub,
till, just lately, when they organised
a Chessmen's Camera Club.

Now some of them have cameras,
while others like to pose
or give advice on photo-calls
(there's quite a few of those)!
Today the black king's focusing
on someone's pretty nose* . . .

But when the men are called upon
to clear their board of mess,
they can take some persuading
that sometimes 'more is less' –
it's time to put their cameras down
and play a game of chess!

* If the cap fits, wear it! But I think the king was pointing the camera at his wife!
