Logos Hope

Large is best

Today is the official holiday for UAE National Day which is tomorrow! We wanted a drive out followed by a visit to Global Village, but the Logos Hope is in harbour in Northern Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. G was in charge of getting the details off the internet; well - as much as they put out. Anyway, we headed out with not much idea of what would happen hopes of locating a big ship in a small town.

It soon became apparent that RAK operates a few decades behind on a completely different level. I had to resort to some internet browsing on Gs phone while she drove aimlessly headed towards the sea. Just when I had given up and uttered the words, "let's forget it" she came up to a small road along the coast and lo and behold (literally), to our left was a very large ship. And even more amazingly - it was the Logos Hope! I am convinced luck just showers down on her.

Anyway, we only had just over an hour to wait so had some lunch (see Gs blip). Shopped at the cleanest, friendliest-with-most- helpful-staff Marks & Spencer EVER. G has new shoes! Headed back to the ship and I was totally impressed how close to it you could park. Got on and well - here are the pictures. So cool that they are celebrating UAE National Day! Enjoyed browsing the books AND CD section. (They had Sara Groves CDs so passed the test). Great drive back and even made it home at my targeted time of 7pm.

Enough time to change the sheets, catch up with blips and enjoy some TV. Back to work tomorrow. At least it's a short week.
