The Color!

When Chuck's Produce first opened the guys in suits all stopped by to see what the competition looked like and they were stunned. Open aisles, beautiful produce, fantastic prices, local whenever possible and an amazing selection. Don't get me wrong, you can buy exotic treats and you will pay for them but you can also get ripe avocados for 50 cents and large lovely acorn squash for less. currently they have 6 or 7 different pears and at least twice that for apples.

If you want cheese to go with the meal (or dessert) the selection would make a Frenchman drool. Again, local and foreign selections from runny double creams to well aged for grating and sharp as a tack. If you want goose, duck, beef and on occasion rattlesnake or quail you can find it there.

As today was another grey dreary day I decided that the best thing to do was to head out for some reliable color. Tonight's dinner, gleaned from our shop, will be Rigatoni with meatballs, a spicy tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella with avocado salad and fresh mango sorbetto for dessert.
