Hard at work
We had a Walking Festival training day today. In August we did 2 days for leaders and today was primarily for back-ups. Several of the people today fulfil both roles at different times. There was a wealth of experience in the room. We talked through the sort of problems we encounter when organising walks and hoped we did not put off the new people in the group!
After lunch we did a bit of map work. Here you see some of the group hard at work. We agreed with Harry - our esteemed leader - that most of us have reached a certain age where a bit of help may be needed to magnify the maps............... It's no good if you can't see the information you need.
Tonight it was the Photo Club with an excellent talk by Leo Palmer. He showed us some wonderful images which both leave one feeling totally daunted and also inspired to do better.
