Italia Beckons

Italy arrives in Union Square. These stalls make an appearance from time to time throughout the year. Although the flags are exclusively Italian I think other countries make an appearance amongst the produce on sale. Cheese, salami and confectionery are all on offer.

We were at Union Square to see a film, "The Butler". I am not sure I had any expectations before going, but I did not realise it was a film about the Civil Rights movement through the 50's and onwards. Perhaps not the most cheerful of films and not really light entertainment. For my next film I will choose something a bit more "escapist".

Union Square was a lot less busy than when I was there last Thursday.
