Dublin Shooter

Looking up

A good day. Productive in terms of work, actually totally on top of things with one client and waiting for info from them to finish the job. Then in to town at 5.15 to meet up with a mate to go to the Graduate show in NCAD (National College of Art and Design). A great festive atmosphere there on a perfect evening wonderfully conducive to student-type activities like drinking al fresco. The standard of work was high, especially in the Print section. Mind you, some of the work pushed the envelope rather widely and couldn't really be considered 'print'. But a nice feel to things, and a lot of it was nicely light-hearted and tongue in cheek.

After the arty stuff I went on to meet another friend for dinks and food. We ended up in a Czech bar until the wee hours, and I got the 3.00 am Nitelink home. All in all, one of the best days in a long while.

NOTE: I've changed images since I first put up this page. The original, which is a shot of a quirky group of figures by an NCAD Print graduate, is now available here. This replacement (taken in Dublin's Temple Bar area) is one of my very, very rare nighttime efforts (they aren't generally very good), and just barely qualifies for this date (shooting time was 23.40 on the 8th, shortly after we'd finished our meal).
