Eyeing up the Sunset

Driving along the winding lanes bordered by fields of red earth in the Herefordshire countryside and seeing the sun going down, I chanced upon this plantation of poplar trees on turning a corner. Luckily - I would say at this point!

Bouncing the car over the deep and muddy tractor divots to park up, Tilly, full of doggie treats after having been to the specialist eye vets, was shaken but didn't stir as I leapt out of the car and then scrambled over a fence to get the shot.

It does rather look like Tilly is going to have to have the eye operations, costing thousands and with an 80% success rate we really have to go for it, but wish we didn't! Seeing your own dog suffer like she does with both her eyes means we have to try everything. No sympathy though today as she really knew how to work those vets with that tin of treats which must have been full when we started off! Lying in her basket behind me now, snoring - butter wouldn't melt!
