The Wren

Vegas skyline

This is the skyline looking towards "New York, New York" from the south end of The Strip. You can see quite clearly the monorail which serves to link the hotel complexes with a free service but to be honest it is as much fun to walk between them as they are all so close together and in fact some are linked by arcades. The brilliant blue sky remained all day and is part of creativelenna's Sunday skies, albeit rather a late contribution.

In the afternoon we all went up to Mount Charleston, 11,500' ft high, although where we were walking was at a mere 7,000'. We wanted to give the dogs a really good run off lead, especially Harley as he is off early in the morning for his flight home. I had on all my winter clothing as there was a lot of deep snow around and it was quite cool. This, combined with the altitude, made for slow walking but it was great fun although unfortunately by now the light was rather poor for good photography. We ended the afternoon after sunset stopping at a restaurant in the mountains for a very welcome hot chocolate.

I seem to have developed an unsightly blob on the inside of my camera lens and it is only really noticeable now I am taking shots with such clear skies. Can anyone suggest any remedies.?
