A Random Act of Christmas

The weather continued to be quite mild, and the rain came and went. And so we decided to run some errands on this day, and also to have some fun.

We made a number of stops and fulfilled all of our obligations, and then we stopped for a short hike at Fisherman's Paradise, along Spring Creek. The place is, as the name implies, a favorite local fishing spot.

We hiked around the bend in the creek, and I stopped in my tracks when I spotted something quite unusual! A medium-sized evergreen tree along the trail had been decorated with a few shiny ornaments and red ribbons.

And near the top of the tree was a rather large gingerbread man made of seeds and dried fruit . . . a Christmas gift for the birds.

The soundtrack: Emerson, Lake, and Palmer: I Believe in Father Christmas.
