Radish Auto

No, not an auto FULL of radishes, but rather an auto MADE of radishes.

La Noche de Rábanos (Night of the Radishes) has been a Oaxacan tradition for 116 years. Special radishes are raised near the town of Xoxocotlán (ho-ho-coat-LAHN), and are carved and formed into creatures, religious dioramas, depictions of festivals or other special events of life. On Dec. 23 the results of the imaginations and skills of the people are displayed in booths around the zócalo.
