went off to the buzz of the botanic gardens on west end festival parade day. park heaving. kids involved in frenzy of carnival mask making (or was it me). met J and the girls and schlepped about seeing what was going on. watched the parade and retreated to the secret fern garden for the kids to rush about playing hide and seek.

more tidying, ironing and sorting. watched brokeback mountain, again and cried, again.
