Looking over the City

Yesterday afternoon we went to visit S' brother, whose older daughter is visiting from London where she has been for some years now. It is wonderful to see her and see the joy in her father's face. A tinge of sadness as she leaves for London the day before tsuken and family arrive for two weeks with us.

Up early to get in a run before an early start at the ward. This was taken near the end of my run, and 5 - 10 minutes after sunrise. I like the colours in the clouds, and the way the light picks out the towers of the city.

The day at the ward was busier than anticipated as all the permanent senior docs are on leave, as is one of the trainees and one house officer. Led to some focussed prioritisation. Hardly stopped until I left to drive north to the beach house. I am going to spend the next four weeks mostly here, commuting to the city, as at this time of the year commuting traffic is lighter and the drive is pleasant.

I'd prefer a train, but there isn't one.

Worth a look at the large version
