Sweet Chestnuts

With today being Boxing Day, you might expect a photo of a family gathering. Thing is I doubt all those featured in the pictures would want to be shared on the interplanet. So instead you have a family of prickly chestnuts (no connection there !) as captured on our morning constitutional across the green. What drew me to these was the sheer number of them on the ground. Particularly as they have been produced by what is obviously quite a young tree the trunk of which is just in shot at the top of the frame.
