Family "Feudin' Banjos"

Mr Q, who is eighty-two today, playing banjo with our daughter, our son-in-law and our two grandchildren.

I cooked a Moroccan themed meal. We ate our tagine from terracotta plant pans that I got from the garden centre. (I boiled them to make sure they were sterile.) We had great fun trying to play carols with the whistles from our crackers. I kept dropping mine on the floor. Can't think why? ;) Maybe the copious quantities of obscure wines from Israel and The Lebanon had something to do with it? We had an interesting discussion about the words of "Good King Wenceslas" and realised that today is the feast of Stephen.

We had a lovely musical evening. Mr Q played piano and Matilda accompanied him on clarinet. Everyone got to try out Mr Q's new drum kit. Tilda showed Ollie how to play some chords on the banjo and the family ensemble was born. :)
