Great Haywood Marina

The first day of our time on Solace. As Chippy had to take the Land Rover down to Dormobile in Southampton for conversion we decided to spend the night in the marina. This gave him time to get back by train before we started the cruise.

It was a clear calm night so I decided to do some experimental night shots. This is an HDR taken from the well deck looking towards the marina buildings.

Other notable factors about the day were the time it took us to make the journey. First delay was an overturned lorry at the Tebay junction. Then we had to leave the M6 a few junctions early because of problems. We arrived and Chippy had time for a quick lunch before carrying on down country. He had a long and tiring day.
