New Year's Day

Well, 2014 came in with a bang--or should I say more of an explosion!! An explosion of snow, that is! We've gotten about 6 inches, with no sign of it letting up anytime soon! The city hasn't started plowing the roads yet, but I've got 4 wheel drive, so made it out just fine to get some pictures. Wasn't bad driving because there weren't any other people out yet--probably all home sleeping off their hangovers! Ha! The snow is just beautiful coming down in such profusion, & I liked this shot of the snow-laden branches, as well as the fact that if you look in the background to the left, you can see how hard the snow is falling (better seen large)! I didn't change this to mono--it's straight out of the camera--just looks like it's in mono because there's so much snow that it's covered almost all the colors & has turned everything white!
