Willie-waws across the bay.

This is what it was like when PJ went out in the boat this morning. The wind picks up the water and makes these 'willie-waws' as we call them. (a sudden violent squall or whirlwind). This was one of the smaller ones.
This is actually a colour photo, not B & W! as it appears here.
After he had done all his trips, the wind died down, and the rain stopped about mid afternoon.
Tomorrow there is a wedding at the Lodge next door, so hoping for fine weather, as least for a few hours.
I've had a good day sorting out things in the office (filing etc, which always gets put in the "do later" heap) After the rain stopped I took Poppy for a walk on the beach, and we found that a big dead tree had washed up into the middle of the track where we drive the loader down, to take it to launch the boat. So PJ had to get the loader & move the tree out of the way.
Just waiting for the last trips of the day, hopefully the ferries have arrived in Picton on time, so the people can catch the water taxi to Torea Bay, from where we pick them up.
Then it is time to put our feet up, and I've still got one bottle of good wine left.
