Early morning on the peaks

We left today to go home and as we drove out the village on our way to the airport I had to take one last photo of this beautiful area. The sun was peeping over the top of the mountain and despite all the protestations of 'no we are late, we will miss our flight' we stopped so I could get this photo.

An uneventful flight home, and despite being in the holding zone over Heathrow for 45 minutes due to bad weather, I did not notice as I was so engrossed in my book!

Now we are home, washing is in the machine, supper is being cooked and a night of catching up with Christmas TV beckons - I still have not seen the Downton Abbey Christmas special!
