Surge

It was a wee bit wild but, considering the battering the west coast seems to have taken today, it seems we got of lightly with the wind, the wet and the high tide combination. So far.

Another day for not taking the camera out so only had a quick stop off down by The Shore after yet another trip to the skips to offload another half dozen bags of recycling. The bag that was full of Christmas wrapping never even made it into the skip as the wind whipped it out of my hand and up and and over the skip. It was last spotted tumbleweeding off towards the spot where the abandoned Christmas trees are piling up.

A short, chilly catch-up chat with Riverman (who appeared magically like the shopkeeper from Mr. Ben) who was also down monitoring the Forth, about the tides and the weather and about the fact that there's a big sign nearby proclaiming the imminent arrival of some luxury houses a few yards from here, around 2 or 3 feet higher than where those wave are lapping over the harbour wall. Hope the purchase price includes a good supply of sandbags and a dinghy.

On top of all the misery going on outdoors it seems I've unselfishly passed along my miserable lurgy to the Mrs. now, and she's been drawing me daggers all day in between requests for cups of tea and Lemsips. Sorry 'bout that Samantha... x
