Sigh of Contentment...

Today signals the second last day of socialising in our festive calendar. Phew!

We braved the mad weather and visited friends in Stirling earlier for a very delicious lunch indeed, and much laughter and warm hospitality.

There is nothing nicer than spending a few hours with friends as the wind howls outside and the rain batters against the windows, yet inside is cosy and warm, candles twinkling and eyes wet with laughing from stories shared. Bliss.

Home now and lunch was so satisfying I don't think we'll be fit to eat anything else tonight. Well apart from some chocolate maybe.

I realised this evening that tomorrow is the last day of the Christmas decs being up as Sunday has been designated Operation Clear Up Day. Normally by this stage I am itching to get them down but this year I feel really sad at the thought of them getting packed away. The house is going to feel very bare.

Can't quite believe the holidays are almost over :(
