The sounds of drywall workers . . .

The walls are all back up, thanks to Jeremy and Kenneth and the ceilings are being painted too. There have been so many different sounds around here today! I have recorded *some of them here* as this journal entry of mine is part of Cathaber's Sound Illustration Challenge. I really had no idea how much this challenge was going to inspire me creatively! Thank you Cathaber. Check out  this photo collage -in large - and see if you recognize our dog Chloe helping them out!  - p.s. That's the workers portable radio top right, and where the music in the video comes from : )

For those of you interested in our renovation, make sure to check out my recorded sounds for today as that will show you a bit more too. Underneath the drop cloths, Fred has finished tiling most of the kitchen floor. This is a bit of a challenge because wherever he tiles, no humans or pets can walk for about 24 hrs! It has worked out fine so far . . . I will be making some albums of the process and putting them on flickr as so much happens we would never be able to remember it all. Plus I like documenting. It is a long process and will take about 2 months from start to finish. We began with demolition on December 13 and do not expect this project to be done until Feb 14 -even though they are diligently working! It is not bad, the dust has been managable and since we set up a kitchen in the garage we are still eating well!
