Stonehaven Beach

After breakfast (which was a slice of chocolate cake in my case) we went for a walk down at Stonehaven beach. A little earlier it had been brilliant sunshine, but by the time we reached Stonehaven the sun was but a instant memory. The walk was very invigorating as it was both cold and windy.

We paused briefly while I risked a limb or two to take this shot of one of the several sculptures scattered along the beach. The risks one takes for one's art. The seaweed was quite slippery as I scrambled over the rocks. As the tide was out there was little danger I could fall into the sea!

We noticed a number of houses along the front had sandbags in front of the doors against flood waters.
