An ordinary life....

Last Hurrah...

Back Blip

Had a lie in whilst David went round the house, room by room, gathering up the Christmas decs ready for me to pack away.

Last year we had a debate about how the decs should be packed. I thought by type was best i.e. all the soft toys together, all the candles together etc but David thought room order was best. In then end, they were all cleared into the games room and finally packed in room order (I know when to admit I’m wrong) and put in the loft around March!

We were determined to be more organised this year but even we were stunned to find we had them all packed and in the loft by 8.30pm this evening! And so far we haven’t found any sneaky ones that we missed (oops, spoke to soon, Alan's stocking is still in his room!)

Knowing we had a busy day clearing the place and knowing how sad we were at the decs coming down and sad that it’s the end of the hols, (this has turned into one of our favourite Christmas breaks) we decided to treat ourselves to a roast dinner so we had something to look forward to when we finally opened our last bottle of Prosecco. The added bonus was that Tesco was selling their roast beef joints at half price (and so they should. The price of food is ridiculous!)

And so we finished our Christmas break as we started it (and continued throughout!), full of food, wine and happiness.

Roll on next Christmas! (only 354 sleeps!!! ;-)))
