Winter warmer

This was tonight's tea; venison broth with dumplings. It was delicious and just the thing on a cold, wet, miserable day like today.
I love my slow cooker; it's great knowing when I get home that the meal will be ready. Better still when the bread maker has been on too so we have warm, crusty bread for dipping.
