BEE on a MISSION......#2

... it was back on 25 th September 2013 that our Callistemon Hot Pink was attracting a lot of interest from the bees.

After flowering we gave it a prune and here we are back today, and the fine weather has it bursting out all over.
And, Monday being Alice day, took her out to show her the flowers "popping" again, and what do I find but a Blue Banded bee and the good ole WIKI explains These bees are very important for the production of food and contribute to at least 30% of crops in Australia.
Well this little guy was certainly a sight to see!, as it buzzed around.

And, of course there was another bee having a good collection as well! Make sure you enlarge on this one to see the little furry bits!
