Empty

Not a photograph which is going to win any prizes - but it does show what happens when you are without a washing machine for over a week - there is no wet washing drying anywhere in the house. Not even on the drying rack, which always has something hanging off it.

Not only that, the ironing basket is empty as well. It just doesn't happen, normally. On the other hand, the dirty washing is knee-deep down in the hall. It has overflowed the basket and is making its way along the floor and up the wall. When the new machine arrives, it will have a year's worth of work on the first day and will probably need replacing by the second day.
