Jenners, the Scott Monument and the Balmoral

Decided to go with another blip of some of the buildings in the middle of Edinburgh after doing the Bank of Scotland HQ last night.

Tonight's blip has three well known central Edinburgh landmarks in it. Jenners department store, the Scott Monument and the Balmoral hotel.

Jenners is on the left of this picture and has been an Edinburgh institution for ever. Just across Princes Street from Jenners sits the Scott Monument, an impressive monument to the famous Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott. You can climb the monument and it is well worth doing.

The third building in tonight's blip is the Balmoral hotel, which is a spectacular reminder of the golden age of the railways as it was the railway hotel at one time. It sits right above Waverley station, which is the main railway station in Edinburgh.
