Reading the runes

It's been another wet grey day, and our plans to attend a Burns Supper tonight went awry, for reasons that I won't go into. I had intended blipping my plate of haggis, mince and tatties but it wasn't to be. Hence a run around the house for an emergency indoor blip instead! This is a photograph of a piece of art I bought in a gallery in Falkirk a number of years ago. I can't remember the artist's name but I loved the way he used stone to create pictures redolent of Pictish times, and of Orkney, which I love. You don't get the full 3-D impact from this photograph but hopefully it will give you the feel of the piece.
