Winter Cactus Lie In

This beavertail cactus doesn't get any sun during the winter so it just keels over on the ground and takes a bit of a rest during the season. Once the sun shifts in the sky, it will rise and point straight towards it.

You'll notice it shrivels up a bit, too. I make sure it gets some water during the winter, as I do all my cacti. Especially this winter. It has been dry as a bone. Winter is usually a fairly wet time. Not this year.
