16-miles; 3,000 calories!

Woohoo! ... managed a full 16-miles this afternoon: longest run yet :-)

Ran into town, on the canal; turned at Cargo Bar (at the end); then ran all the way out to Ratho; then back to Shandon again :-))

And - rather amazingly - whilst feeling a little sore now, the actual run was comparatively uneventful ... apart from some pretty changeable weather!

Time was a bit slower than normal, but I'm fairly pleased as I managed to keep under (just!) 11-minutes/mile; completing the 16-miles in 175-minutes :-))

Tomorrow will most definitely be a rest-day!


So, today's figures:

Date: 01/02/14
Height: 6 ft 4inches
Weight: 15stone 5pounds (at last, its come down!)
Distance run: 16-miles (woohoo!)
Pace: just <11-mins/mile


Off to another Burns Supper later this evening - thus the photo ... and having burnt off nearly 3,000 calories; I am going to need a serious amount of veggie-haggis tonight :-)


Anyhow - here's a reminder of my training-plans for the upcoming week:

SUNDAY - most definitely a rest day :-))
MONDAY - cycle-commute and rest day thereafter :-)
TUESDAY - short run of at least 5-miles and cycle-commute thereafter
WEDNESDAY - cycle-commute and gym, then swim, at Dalry
THURSDAY - short run of at least 5-miles and cycle-commute thereafter
FRIDAY - cycle-commute and gym, then swim, at Dalry
SATURDAY - long run: looking at my other commitments, probably circa 10-miles
SUNDAY - as above, if not possible on the Saturday and/or swim
